SU Rowing Places Third Against Yale and Cornell

The Yale rowing team took first place finishes in three races, including the varsity eight. The Bulldogs placed first in the top eight with a time of 6:27.21. Cornell was second with a time of 6:30.1 and SU finished third in 6:32.59. Junior co-captain Marisa Begley coxed SU’s varsity eight, while senior Bonnie Chapman rowed the bow seat.
Cornell’s second varsity eight finished ahead of the pack with a time of 6:33.3. Yale was second (6:38.28) and the Orangewomen followed with a time of 6:45.22. Sophomore Makiko Muraoka coxed the Orangewomen’s second eight, while sophomore Carolyn Taylor sat in the bow.
Yale placed first in the varsity four A and novice eight races, while Cornell finished first in the varsity B and the second novice eight race.
