Women's Lacrosse Semifinal Field Set For Carrier Dome

SYRACUSE, NY -- Three of the top four seeds in the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament have advanced to the semifinals that will be contested on Friday, May 16, in Syracuse's Carrier Dome. Top-seeded Loyola (17-1) will face Princeton (14-4) in one semifinal at 6:30 p.m., while #2 Maryland (18-3) will square off with #3 Virginia (16-4) in the second semifinal. The championship game is set for Sunday, May 18, at 1 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.

Loyola earned its spot by defeating Yale on Sunday, 13-7. Princeton eliminated Ohio State in a 17-8 triumph. Loyola defeated Princeton during the regular season, 9-8.

Maryland won against Dartmouth on Sunday, 13-5, while Virginia defeated Georgetown, 16-9. The semifinal pairing featrures a rematch of the ACC Championship game won by Vriginia, 11-6.
