
Three Join Women's Basketball Staff

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse women's basketball head coach Keith Cieplicki has announced that Mandy Ronay, Morgan Hall and Amy Reckner have joined the Orangewomen's staff. Ronay and Hall will serve as assistant coaches, while Reckner will be the Director of Basketball Operations.
"I think these three individuals give us an excellent mix that represents a lot of different strengths," Cieplicki said. "They will certainly bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to our program."
Ronay comes to SU after serving as an assistant coach at the College of William & Mary for the past three seasons. At Syracuse, Ronay will work with the perimeter players as well as assist in scouting, recruiting and gameday preparation. She spent the 2002-03 season as the Tribe's recruiting coordinator. She also assisted with scouting, practice planning and scheduling. In the summer of 2002, Ronay was one of only three college coaches selected to assist with the NCAA Leadership Conference for student-athletes.
A native of Fairfax Station, Va., Ronay is 2000 graduate of WVU. She earned a bachelor's degree in sports management with a minor in communication studies. A four-year starterr, she was a tri-captain in her final three seasons with the Mountaineers. In 1998, she was a member of the 1998 BIG EAST All-Star team that toured Europe.
Hall will be in her first season on the sidelines after finishing a standout playing career under Cieplicki's tutelage at Vermont. She will be involved in all aspects of the program, including opponent scouting and recruiting, as well as working with SU's perimeter players.
Hall was a four-time All-America East performer, earning the league's Rookie of the Year award following the 1999-2000 season. She was a first-team all-conference selection in 2001 and 2003. Hall finished her career fourth on the Catamounts all-time scoring ledger with 1,689 points and became only the fifth UVM player to reach the 1,000-point mark as a junior. Last season, she led Vermont in scoring and rebounding averaging 18.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. She scored 15 points and had 12 rebounds versus the Orangewomen on December 18, 2002. Hall became the first player in Vermont history to score 30 points in consecutive games, going for 33 versus Northeastern and 38 versus Boston University. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from UVM in 2003.
Hall won the 2003 J. Edward Donnelly Award, which honors outstanding senior athletes at Vermont. She also served as a student-athlete representative on the search committee to hire UVM's new athletic director in 2003. A native of Hanover, N.H., Hall has been involved at several camps,, serving as a counselor with the Hanover Parks and Recreation Department basketball summer camps, the University of Vermont Girls Basketball Camp and the Dartmouth Summer Basketball Camp.
Reckner joins the Orangewomen staff from the high school ranks. Her basketball operations duties will include travel planning, tape exchange and coordinating SU's summer basketball camp.
Since 1997, Reckner has served as an assistant varsity coach with the girls basketball program at Adrian High School in Adrian, Mich. She worked with the perimeter players, as well as assisting with the opponent scouting.
Reckner earned an associate's degree in respiratory care technology from the University of Toledo in 1999. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in health, physical education and recreation from Adrian College in 2001. Reckner holds teaching certificates in both health, physical education and recreation, and biology.
