SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse women’s soccer coach April Kater announced the addition of transfer student Helen Fox to the 2003 Orangewomen on July 23.
Fox, a junior forward/midfielder, competed for the University of Nebraska as a freshman and sophomore. In 2002, the Guelph, Ontario native saw time in 11 games for the Cornhuskers and recorded three shots. As a freshman, Fox competed in seven contests and was a member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s honor roll.
“Helen’s very explosive and she has great endurance,” Kater said. “She also comes in with a tremendous amount of experience from playing at Nebraska, which is always one of the top programs in the nation. She may be the most experienced of all our newcomers.”
The Orangewomen will open their season at home Friday, August 29 at 7 p.m. against the Binghamton Bearcats.
