Boling Leads Syracuse Track and Field with Two Victories at the Cornell Four-Way

Boling recorded a time of 7.80 in the 60m and a time of 25.20 in the 200m. Her time in the 200m qualifies her for the BIG EAST Indoor Championship.
Freshman Sheron Mark also had a good day in Ithaca. Mark won the long jump with a leap of 5.77m (18-11.25) and placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.92m (39-1.25). She tied for first place in the high jump with teammate Jenna Grimaldi and three others with a height of 1.65m (5-5.0). Her jumps in all three events qualified her for the BIG EAST meet, and her long jump and triple jump performances qualified her for the ECAC Championship.
Tatiana Warren finished second and recorded a BIG EAST- and ECAC-qualifying mark of 5.76m (18-10.75) in the long jump. She placed fifth in the triple jump with a BIG EAST-qualifying mark of 11.50m (37-8.75). In the high jump, Warren tied with teammate Jennifer Kooken and two others for sixth place with a BIG EAST-qualifying mark of 1.60m (5-3.0).
Aulton Kohn, Tim Scarpinato and Matthew Glowacki each won events to help the Orangemen to a fourth-place finish. Kohn won the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.94, which meets the qualifying standards of the BIG EAST and IC4A championships. Scarpinato recorded a first-place time of 15:25.63 in the 5,000-meter run. Glowacki placed first in the shot put and qualified for the BIG EAST meet with a throw of 15.05m (49-4.50).
Santos Rodriguez qualified for the BIG EAST Championship with a throw of 15.25m (50-0.50) in the weight throw. Brien Flewelling recorded a BIG EAST-qualifying mark of 1.91m (6-3.25) and tied for eighth in the high jump.
Syracuse next competes at the Penn State National Open, January 30-31, in State College, Pa.
