Morant closed his career ranked 10th on Syracuse’s career receiving yards record list with 1,535 in four years. Morant caught at least one pass in his final 29 games of his career, which is the second-longest streak in SU history. Morant, who played in 35 games during his four-year SU career, averaged 17.4 yards per catch average (88 receptions for 1,535 yards), which ranks eighth in the Syracuse record books. He had seven receiving touchdowns, including five in 2003, and scored once on a reverse (vs. North Carolina in 2002). Morant also returned 22 kickoffs for 524 yards, an average of 23.8 yards per return.
His 799 receiving yards in 2003 is ninth on SU’s single-season record list and his 46 receptions is tied for seventh on the single-season ledger. With four 100-yard receiving games in 2003, Morant became the first Orangeman to have four-or-more 100-yard games in one season since Marvin Harrison had a school-record six 100-yard receiving games in 1995.
