
Men's Lacrosse to Compete in Pumpkin Stick-Out on Oct. 10

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The defending NCAA champion Orange will compete at the Great Pumpkin Stick-Out on Sun., Oct. 10, at Coyne Field. The event, which supports the Upstate New York Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse, will waste little time turning up the intensity. The first match will feature NCAA Division I champion Syracuse against NCAA Division II champion Le Moyne at 11 a.m. Admission cost is $5 for the entire afternoon and $2 for parking.
Head coach John Desko's squad will participate in two other games after the Le Moyne contest. At 12:30 p.m., SU will face Herkimer, and at 2 p.m. the Orange takes on Dartmouth. Syracuse will play all its games at Coyne Field.
The Stick-Out will also utilize the infield of the Vielbig Track, located adjacent to Coyne Field, for three other games. At 11 a.m., Herkimer and Colgate square off, followed by Dartmouth versus Colgate at 12:30 p.m. The last match of the day is between Le Moyne and Colgate at 2 p.m.
