Women's Soccer Prepares for Cornell

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women’s soccer team hosts Cornell on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 5:30 p.m. The Orange is 6-0-1 versus Cornell. Syracuse has out-scored the Big Red 20-4 in their seven meetings.
The Orange is led by sophomore Molly McManus with eight points on three goals and two assists. Senior goalie Shannon Myers is first all-time at SU with 217 career saves and has three shutouts this season. The Orange is on a three-game losing streak and has struggled offensively. SU has one goal on 19 shots in the last three games.
Scouting The Big Red
The Big Red is coming off a 4-1 loss to Harvard last Saturday. Cornell is led by Kara Ishikawa with three goals for six points. The Big Red has only scored eight goals in ten games. The Orange is 6-0-1 versus the Big Red.
The Importance Of Scoring First
The Orange is 6-0-1 when the team tallies the game’s first goal. In all six of SU’s wins they have scored first. Syracuse is 0-5-1 when the opponent scores the first goal.
