The Syracuse men's rowing team opened the Lake Morey Invite with a split day of racing on Saturday, going wining three races against Boston University while the 2nd Varsity Eight also earned a win over Dartmouth.

The Orange dropped three of four races against the Big Green including the Packard Cup race between the Varsity 8 crews. Dartmouth (5:40.7) beat Syracuse (5:43.9) in the V8, winning by a margin of 3.2 seconds for the second straight Packard Cup win for Dartmouth.The Big Green (5:45.9) also took the 3rd Varsity 8 over 'Cuse (5:49.0) and narrowly in the 4V8 with Dartmouth (5:55.1) beating Syracuse by 0.4 seconds (5:55.5). Syracuse's lone win against Dartmouth came in the 2nd Varsity 8, where the Orange crossed in 5:42.9 to Dartmouth's 5:45.1.

Despite losing the Conlan Cup to Boston University for the first time since 2019, the Orange showed true depth in their roster winning the 2V8, 3V8 and 4V8 races by convincing margins. Syracuse's 2V8 finished in 5:58.0 while BU crossed in 6:04.3. The 3V8 went 5:56.9 while Boston U turned in a 6:03.6. In the 4th Varsity Eight Syracuse was ahead of Boston U by 2.7 seconds. The Conlan Cup returns to Boston after the Terriers (5:48.1) beat SU by 3.6 seconds.

Syracuse will return to the water Sunday to close out the Lake Morey Invite, facing Georgetown. All racing begins at 8 a.m. on Lake Morey.
