Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Football Family Fun Zone A Place for Fans of All Ages
12/1/2004 8:50:43 AM | Football
The Football Family Fun Zone opened two hours prior to kickoff for all games except for Parents Weekend and Homecoming when the Fun Zone was open three hours prior to kickoff. There was so much going on in those few hours that hopefully everyone was able to see everything. There was the live broadcast of the ISP Sports Syracuse Radio Network pre-game show on the steps of Carnegie Library. The Orange Pack and Alumni Relations’ Orange Friendzy tent featured food and drink, including Dinosaur Barbeque, and the SU give-a-ways. There were pre-game concerts by the SU Marching Band, inflatable games, and appearances by Otto, the SU cheerleaders and dance team. There was product sampling by Frit-o-lay and Nestle and sponsor give-a-ways by Citizen’s Bank, Nextel, BlueCross/BlueShield, TIAA-CREF and MBNA were distributed to thousands of people before every home game.
The Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Football Family Fun Zone was the place to be for all fans. Everyone, both young and old, enjoyed the festivities on the quad. Young fans tried to wait patiently for their turn on the inflatable games, while older fans singing the SU fight song and alma mater along with the band. There were parents with future SU students and SU students with their parents. "We're Orange Together” was on full display!
