
Road to Baltimore Must First Pass Through Ithaca

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse University men's lacrosse team will play Georgetown in the 2004 NCAA Quarterfinals at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, at Cornell University's Schoellkopf Field in Ithaca, N.Y. Cornell plays host to the No. 2 seed Navy at noon. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, May 18, at noon at the Carrier Dome Box Office until Wednesday, May 19, at 4:30 p.m. All tickets are general admission. Prices are set at $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for college students with ID and youths under 12. Parking is $5.
The Orange advanced to the quarterfinals with a 21-13 victory against Albany in the first round on May 16. Syracuse has won four-straight games and comes into its matchup with Georgetown with a 12-2 record. The Orange and Hoyas met just 10 days ago in Washington. SU posted a 13-9 win in a closely-contested game. Georgetown is 11-3 and advanced to the quarterfinals following a 15-8 win against Towson. For Syracuse, a quarterfinal win means an appearance at NCAA Championship Weekend for the 22nd consecutive season.
