
Goodale Named Second-Team All-American

ANN ARBOR, Mich. --
Junior Anna Goodale was named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches’ Association (CRCA) All-America Second Team on June 3. It is the second consecuitive year she has earned national All-America honors.Goodale, a first-team choice in 2003, was one of 22 rowers picked to the second team in 2004. She competed as a member of SU’s varisity eight boat for every race this past season. Goodale helped the Orange to a first-place finish at the Orange Challenge Cup and a second-place showing in the grand final of the 2004 BIG EAST Challenge.
Goodale is one of three SU rowers that have earned national All-America accolades (Jillian Kott, Kate Modolo) in the six years since the CRCA began selecting All-America teams. At least one Orange rower has been named either a first- or second-team All-American in five of those six campaigns.
The CRCA All-America squads were selected by the regional chairperson following the NCAA Championship from the group of rowers that earned first-team all-region honors.
