
28 Rowers Named to 2004 Spring Athletic Director's Honor Roll

Twenty-eight members of the Syracuse University women's rowing team were named to the Spring 2004 Athletic Director's Honor Roll. The SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognizes those student-athletes who have earned a semester grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Five seniors made an appearance on the honor roll. Victoria Amling (Portland, Ore.), Marisa Begley (Folsom, N.J.), Michelle Garren (Avon, Mass.), Shannon Mercurio (Saranac Lake, N.Y.) and Aliza Seeber (Syracuse, N.Y.) were recognized.
Juniors Christine Chamberlain (Costa Mesa, Calif.), Alison Forsyth (Cochrane, Alberta), Kimberly Garvey (Liverpool, N.Y.), Anna Goodale (Camden, Maine), Elizabeth Landgraf (Pitman, N.J.), Kelly McGrorey (West Chester, Pa.), Makiko Muraoka (San Mateo, Calif.), Shawna O'Brien (Liverpool, N.Y.) and Carolyn Taylor (Chattanooga, Tenn.) were also honored.
Emilee Cummings (Tucson, Ariz.), Julie Fumanti (Buffalo, N.Y.), Catherine Henny (Allendale, N.J.), Lindsey Huemann (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), Andrea Mueller (Folsom, Calif.), Melinda Reger (Flemington, N.J.) and Kayla Ryan (Liverpool, N.Y.) were the sophomores who made the list.
Nora Creahan (Hingham, Mass.), Erin Cunningham (Buffalo, N.Y.), Karlyn Downing (Syracuse, N.Y.), Rachel Gibian (Kennett Square, Pa.), Caroline Hanlon (Washington, D.C.) and Casey Irving (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) were second-time freshmen honorees, while Jaime Doerr (Elkins, W.Va.) was a first-time freshman honoree.
The Orange rowing team ended its 2004 campaign by having three of its four boats earn second place finishes in the petite finals at the Eastern Sprints held on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J. on Sunday, May 9.
