HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Syracuse freshman Jessica Lerew (York Springs, Pa.) scored late in the second half to force overtime as the Orange defeated Hofstra after double overtime and a penalty stroke-off, 2-1, Sunday afternoon, at Shuart Stadium. It was Lerew's second goal of the weekend. She also scored in a 3-1 victory against Rutgers on Sept. 17. The rookie leads the team so far this season with three goals.
