Monk Selected as a Finalist for Hall of Fame

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Orange football star Art Monk has been named a finalist for enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Monk has been a finalist each of the last five years.
Monk played the majority of his career with the Washington Redskins (1980-1993) and played one year with the New York Jets (1994) and Philadelphia Eagles (1995). He was a unanimous all-rookie selection in 1980 and named to three Pro Bowls. Click here for Monk’s Hall of Fame bio.
The Class of 2005 will be elected on February 5, in Jacksonville, Fla., the site of Super Bowl XXXIX.
