
Final Home Swim Meet for Six Seniors on Jan. 29th

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse will honor six seniors as they swim in their final home meet at Ted Webster Pool on Saturday, Jan. 29, against Seton Hall at 12 p.m. Mike Anstrom, Gustavo Kertzscher, Josh Scott, Lisa Fong, Elisa James and Vanessa Martinez have enjoyed terrific swimming careers at SU. All six have been point scorers for SU at the BIG EAST Championship, and they will lead the Orange to another strong performance at the conference meet three weeks from now.
Against Seton Hall, SU holds a 12-1 advantage in the all-time men’s series, while the Orange women are a perfect 13-0 all-time against the Pirates in dual-meet action.
SU MEN RANKED AMONG NATION’S TOP 50
In the latest "College Quick 50," a list of the nation’s top 50 college swimming times compiled by Stu Corliss at Taper & Shave in Carmichael, Calif., three SU men were listed among the nation’s fastest swimmers. Luk Boral was ranked 16th in the 200 breaststroke with his season-best time of 1:59.82 set at the Nike Cup in November. In the 100 breaststroke, he was ranked 29th with a time of 55.96, also set at the Nike Cup.
