
SU Hosts Cincinnati On Fan Appreciation Day

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Orange returns home to the Carrier Dome tomorrow for a noon match up against BIG EAST newcomer Cincinnati. It is Fan Appreciation Day at the Dome, honoring the craziest SU fans at halftime, so be sure to wear your Orange! Tickets are still available online or at the Carrier Dome by calling 1-888-DOMETIX.
The game will be televised on ESPN Regional Television with Dave Sims and John Congemi calling the action.
Prior to the game, the Everson Museum's Harley-Davidson, in honor of the legendary #44, will be driven onto the field. The 2005 Fat Boy will be raffled off to benefit the Everson Museum's art and education programs.
Also, Orange Plus Hall of Fame inductees will be honored prior to the game. At halftime, SU will determine its SUper Fans, who will be brought onto the field to show their spirit for the Orange.
Sophomore quarterback Joe Fields will get his first start of the 2005 season against the Bearcats on Saturday.
Tomorrow's clash will feature two of the top defensive backs in the country in senior Anthony Smith and freshman Mike Mickens. Smith is second in the nation in interceptions (.71) and third in passes defended, while Mickens is tops in the country in passes defended (2.00).
