MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Senior Kelly Duan registered a match-high 15 kills and also added 11 digs to lead the Orange to a 3-0 (30-24, 30-21, 30-27) win against Robert Morris tonight. The win was the second sweep of the Colonials this season.
Sophomore Cheryl Cobbina was the other SU player in double-digit kills with 10. Redshirt freshman April Quigley recorded 22 assists and senior Aila Dommestrup added 12. Sophomore Joscie Kaup contributed with 14 digs.
SU (12-6, 3-1 BIG EAST) hit .324 on the night and improves to 11-1 when hitting above .250 as a team.
For the Colonials (8-10), Jennifer Stambaugh had a team-high 12 kills while Megan Bell added 11. Tawnya Storino dished out 26 assists while Alaina Gibson had 16 digs.
The Orange plays its second match in as many days when it travels to Pittsburgh on Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. match.
