Kaup Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Sophomore Joscie Kaup, a member of the Orange volleyball team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 14.
Kaup, who is from Ft. Recovery, Ohio, has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll twice and was been a BIG EAST Academic All-Star last year.
Kaup led a strong defensive effort against Cincinnati as she recorded a career-high 33 digs en route to a 3-1 win. The victory clinched the third seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Championship.
The volleyball team heads to Louisville on Nov. 18-20 to play in the 2005 conference tournament. As the No. 3 seed, SU will face No. 6 Pittsburgh on Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Kentucky International Convention Center.
