SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior offensive tackle Quinn Ojinnaka (Seabrook, Md.) will be the first SU student-athlete to represent the Orange in the Las Vegas All-American Classic on January 14, 2006.
The All-American Classic began last year, but it was not the first time that the all-star game has been held. In 2002 and 2003, the game was known as the Paradise Bowl and was played in Utah. This year’s game will be televised nationally by CSTV with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 702-739-FANS.
Ojinnaka has played in 44 games and has not missed a start in the last two seasons. He was the first true freshman to start on the offensive line since 1986. He was a part of the offensive line that blocked for the first SU duo to each run for 800 yards (Damien Rhodes & Walter Reyes) since 1979.
