Women’s Varsity Four Boats Take First and Second At Fall Race

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Nov. 5, 2005 – The women’s varsity four “B” crew topped the “A” boat by one second to take the varsity four event in the Syracuse Fall Race held at Onondaga Lake on Saturday, Nov. 5. The freshman varsity eight “A” boat finished in second behind Buffalo.

The varsity four “B” boat finished with a time of 21:31, while the “A” crew clocked in at 21:32. The “C” boat (22:42) placed in sixth while the “D” crew finished with a time of 24:02. The Buffalo “B” crew finished in third place with a time of 22:42.

The Syracuse “A” freshman eight crew clocked in at 20:10 behind the Buffalo “A” boat that finished in 19:58. The SU “B” squad clocked in at 24:04. The Cornell “B” squad placed in third with a time of 21:20.

The Orange competes next weekend at the Head of the Lake in Seattle, Wash. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
