Franklin Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Steve Franklin, a member of the Orange football team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 7.

Franklin, who is from Dover, Del., has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll twice and to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star team twice. He also serves as the captain of the 2005 squad.

The Orange host South Florida in the final home game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1:30 p.m. The legendary #44 will be retired at halftime of the game.
