Persico, Scott, Duenas, Boral All Qualify for Thursday Night Finals Races

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. -- Four Orange swimmers qualified for finals races on Thursday at the 2005 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championship. All four finished in the top eight of the morning's preliminary races.
Junior Rob Persico (Fulton, Md.) and senior Josh Scott (Clayton, Calif.) will swim in the finals of the men's 500 freestyle. They finished fifth and sixth, respectively, during the morning session.
Freshman Vanessa Duenas (Miami, Fla.) will compete in the women's 200-yard individual medley. She was eighth in the morning prelim with a time of 2:05.92.
Sophomore Luk Boral (Poznan, Poland) will be aiming for his second career BIG EAST crown when he competes in the men's 200 individual medley. Boral was sixth in the prelims with a time of 1:51.95.
