Warrick Named To Rupp All-America Team

SYRACUSE, NY -- Senior forward Hakim Warrick was one of five players named to the Adolph F. Rupp All-American Team on March 21. Warrick was joined by Andrew Bogut (Utah), Sean May (North Carolina), Chris Paul (Wake Forest) and J.J. Redick (Duke).
The five players are now finalists for the Adolph F. Rupp Trophy, which gwill be announced at the Final Four in St. Louis.
The Adolph F. Rupp Trophy is sponsored by the Commonwealth Club of Kentucky, a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to preserve the legacy of the late Adolph Rupp, the former coach at Kentucky.
Warrick, who has also earned all-america recognition from the NABC and USBWA this month, led Syracuse in scoring (21.4) and rebounding (8.6) average this season. He was named the BIG EAST Conference Player of the Year and earned the Dave Gavitt Award as the MVP of the league's tournament.
He completed his career ranked fourth in career scoring (2,073) and fourth in career rebounding (1,025). Warrick played in 135 games at SU, the sixth-highest total in program history.
Syracuse finished its season with a 27-7 record.
