"I like the situation we were in," said Robinson after the team's first scrimmage of the Spring practice session. "We had a few hundred people in the stands which changes the parameters a little bit. There is a little bit more adrenaline flowing for the guys and they have to show a little more control and focus. I thought there was some good hitting and I think there is still some room to improve.
“I believe everybody on our football team was on the field today. In a football team you really try on a day like this to get everybody involved because everybody is important to our football team. Our system is about different personnel and different structures on the offense and the defense.”
Robinson was pleased to see former SU student-athletes lining the sidelines for the practice.
”It is really good to see the former players on the sideline,” “I like the feeling of the people and this community. I have been enjoying the older players who have come back and talked. I am proud to be the head football coach here. I really, really hope that our players and everybody understand that we have something to uphold here.”
