SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women’s rowing team is ranked No. 16 in the most recent CRCA/US Rowing poll and welcomes Ivy Leaguers Harvard and Dartmouth to Onondaga Lake on Saturday, April 16. Harvard brings its No. 5 national ranking to Central New York and will be SU’s toughest competition this season until the Eastern Sprints on May 15.
SU dropped in the national ranking this week from No. 15 to No. 16, oddly, after defeating Penn and Northeastern for the Orange Challenge Cup. The Orange was jumped by Boston University, who went from No. 18 to No. 15. Surprisingly, Boston University moved up in the poll after losing by a second to Yale University. The Terriers also lost to SU in the first race of the season.
Racing on Saturday is set to start around 8:00 a.m. Click here for directions to SU’s James A. Ten Eyck Memorial Boathouse.
