Former SU fullback Greg Hanoian caught one touchdown pass for the Orange last season.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Syracuse University fullback Greg Hanoian signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Detroit Lions yesterday. Hanoian became the 13^th former Orange to sign with the Lions’ organization.

In 2004, Hanoian rushed 10 times for 41 yards, and caught five passes for 24 yards

and a touchdown. In 2001, Hanoian moved to linebacker after being listed as a running back in his true freshman year. He then moved to tight end prior to the 2002 season and back to fullback for 2003 Spring practice. Hanoian, was a member of the 2003 Fall and 2004 Spring Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. In 2004, he played in nine games, starting eight and won SU’s Pat Miller Outstanding Athlete, Student & Citizen Award.

Hanoian, a native of Seakonk Massachusetts, majored in supply chain management at Syracuse.
