Mark Posts Two More High Marks

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore Sheron Mark took top honors in the high jump with a mark of 1.70 meters at the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University. Mark also finished second in the long jump with a jump of 5.84 meters.
Freshmen hurdlers Marcus Vaughn and Ramon Sosa highlighted the men’s day. Vaughn tallied a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.64. Sosa finished fourth in the same race with a time of 14.80 seconds. Both freshmen qualified for the IC4A Championship.
In the 100-meter dash, junior Christen Tucker and Princeton’s Juliette Poussot both crossed the finish line in 12.38 seconds and tied for third place. Tucker also finished fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 25.51 seconds. Freshman Liz Cufari finished second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:17.48. Junior Jen Kooken tied for third in the high jump with a mark of 1.63 meters. Junior pole vaulter Sarah Bentley took fourth clearing 3.20 meters. Sophomore Brienne Karow took second in the discus with a throw of 42.11 meters.
The Orange returns to action on April 16 at Roberts Wesleyan College for the Raider Challenge.
