Mark and Pryor Qualify for NCAA Championships

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Sophomore Sheron Mark qualified the NCAA Championship in the triple jump and freshman Brittany Pryor qualified in the discus. Mark and Pryor both finished seventh in their respective events at the NCAA East Regional last weekend. They travel to Sacramento, Calif. for the Championship on June 8-11.
Mark recorded a jump of 12.77 meters (41’ 10.75”) to finish seventh in the triple jump at the at the 2005 NCAA Division I East Regional in Manhattan, NY. Mark, who was one of four SU student-athletes who qualified for the NCAA regional meet, also finished 17th in the long jump, leaping 5.76 meters (18’ 10 ¾”).
Pryor took seventh in the discus with a toss of 47.74 meters (156’ 7”) at the regional and finished 17th in the shot put with a distance of 13.76 meters (45’ 1.75”).
