SYRACUSE, NY -- The 1994-95 SU men's basketball season statistics and boxscores have been added to the school's website, www.suathletics.com. The Orange edition from that campaign was 20-10 overall and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament before losing in overtime to Arkansas, 96-94.
Four of the club's 10 losses in 1994-95 were suffered in overtime. In addition to the Arkansas setback, Syracuse lost its season opener in the Preseason NIT to George Washington, 111-104, a regular-season pairing with Villanova, 89-87, and a BIG EAST Conference Tournament outing to Providence, 71-69.
Lawrence Moten led the team in scoring that season, averaging 19.6 points per game. John Wallace ranked second in scoring (16.8) and topped the club in rebounding average (8.2). Two other players -- Michael Lloyd (12.5 ppg.) and Lucious Jackson (11.2 ppg.) averaged double-digit point totals. Moten, Wallace, Lloyd and Jackson started all 30 games for Syracuse. J.B.
