SYRACUSE N.Y.—The SU women’s soccer team returned to campus this week to begin preseason workouts. Sunday, the team will play its first of two preseason exhibition games as it hosts the AJAX Renegades, an under-18 club team from the Toronto area, at 1 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium.

On Aug. 20, Army will visit to play the second and final exhibition match . The Orange opens the regular season Aug. 26 on the road at Fairleigh Dickenson before returning home for its home opener versus Hartford on Aug. 28.

SU prepares for the 2005 campaign picked to finish third in the BIG EAST Division A as voted on by BIG EAST head coaches.

Molly McManus is the team’s top returning scorer from last season when she tallied three goals and two assists. Also returning is Jenna Richter who started in all 19 games last season scoring two goals.
