More than 100 fans will line the sideline opposite the scorer's table with the addition of fan seating courtside at the Dome for 2005-06.

More than 100 premiere courtside seats will be added to the Carrier Dome to enhance the atmosphere and home court advantage for the Syracuse men’s basketball team. These premiere seats will be located opposite the scorer’s table as well as at the endcourt behind both baskets.
“The courtside seating element enhances what is already an incredible home court advantage we have enjoyed in the Dome,” said SU Director of Athletics Dr. Daryl Gross. “Having the fans at arms-length from the action will add to the tremendous atmosphere. Syracuse University is among the top 10 names in college folklore and the athletics program should match the outstanding academic programs such as Newhouse, Maxwell and Architecture. It is very important for athletics to be there, as well. For us to get there we have to continually raise funds in order to continue to build facilities and assemble the best coaching staffs. After the past two years with successful endcourt seating, extending the fan seating alongside the court is the next step.”
The seats will be available to all Orange Pack members. Information on purchasing side court seats will be mailed to all Orange Pack members by September. For more information, call the Orange Pack office at 315-443-1419 or 315-443-2054.
