Senior offensive guard Steve Franklin and senior defensive end James Wyche will serve as 2005 team captains for the Orange football squad. The pair of linemen were voted to the leadership positions by their teammates. Wyche, who is listed on watch lists for the Bednarik and Lombardi Awards, has started in 31 of the 33 games he has played for the Orange. Franklin, who is in his third year at SU, has started 23 of the 24 games he has played.

The Orange kickoff the season on Sunday, September 4 against West Virginia at 1:30 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Buy tickets now (click here). The game will be televised nationally on ABC.
