On Sept. 17, 1994, the Orange football team welcomed Rutgers to the Carrier Dome. The two team battled back and forth, producing six lead changes in the game. In the final seconds of the game, with SU winning 37-36, Bryce Bevill stuffed a Rutgers run at the one-yard line to seal the one-point win.
The win was the second of six-consectuive Orange victories in 1994. That season, SU finished 7-4 (4-3 BIG EAST).
