Women's Basketball Announces 2005-06 Schedule

The SU women's basketball team announced it 2005-06 schedule today. The Orange opens the season with two exhibition games, both at home, on Nov. 5 against Bishops University and Nov. 11 versus LeMoyne.
SU's first eight games are all in the state of New York. Four home games (two exhibitions) and four games against Manhattan, Buffalo, Niagara, and Canisius are on the slate. The first time the Orange travels out of state is on Dec. 8 when it heads to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers in the BIG EAST opener.
SU hosts new BIG EAST foes Louisville and Marquette and travels to South Florida, Louisville, and DePaul for the last game of the regular seeason. Other non-conference tilts include games against Sacred Heart, Colgate, UMass, Binghamton, Albany, Quinnipiac, and Cornell.
The schedule includes six teams that advanced to the 2005 NCAA Tournament, including DePaul, Canisius, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Connecticut, and Louisville.
