PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman Jenny Eckhart (Libertyville, Ill) hit a 3-pointer with eight seconds left in regulation to force overtime as the Orange went on to defeat Providence, 77-76, on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Alumni Hall. Junior Tracy Harbut (Lexington, Ky.) registered nine points and nine assists. Freshman Keri Laimbeer (Orchard Lake, Mich.) chipped in nine points off the bench for SU.
SU shot 53.4 percent (31-58) from the floor, the third time this season the Orange has shot better than 50 percent in a game. SU is 3-0 in those contests.
