Senior Molly McManus

Syracuse, N.Y.- Syracuse senior captain Molly McManus (Binghamton, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Honor Roll on October 16. McManus scored the game-winning goal in the Orange’s 1-0 victory against Seton Hall. She is tied for the team lead with two goals on the season and has eight goals in her career. The honor was the first of McManus’ career.

McManus is joined on the Honor Roll by Laura Boyer (Marquette), Carrie Drew (Notre Dame), Erin Guthrie (Rutgers) and Brittany Taylor (Connecticut). The player of the week awards were given to West Virginia’s Deana Everett (Offensive), Marquette’s Katie Kelly (Defensive), Connecticut’s Stephaine Labbe (Goalie) and Rutgers’ Jenifer Anzivino (Rookie).

The Orange closes out the 2006 regular season with a pair of home games this weekend. Syracuse hosts Marquette Friday at 7:00 p.m. and South Florida Sunday at noon.
