The Syracuse football team will look to get back to its winning ways when the Orange travels to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats on Saturday. Syracuse has lost its last three games, including two to top 10 teams, after a three-game winning streak and will look to rebound against Cincinnati. Syracuse owns a record of 3-5 and is 0-3 in BIG EAST play while the Bearcats are 4-4 and 1-2 against conference competition.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN Regional Television. Orange fans can listen to the Syracuse ISP Sports Network broadcast on Orange All Access (click here) and the radio network.

Orange Friendzy
Traveling with the team? Join Syracuse fans as they root on the Orange against Illinois. The Orange Friendzy pre-game celebration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will continue until kickoff at noon. The event will be held at the Bearcat Lounge at the Kingsgate Marriott, located on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. A shuttle will be running from the Marriott to Nippert Stadium. The Syracuse – Cincinnati Series
In six all-time meetings, Syracuse owns a 4-2 advantage over the Bearcats. Cincinnati won the first BIG EAST meeting between the two schools last season, defeating the Orange 22-16 at the Carrier Dome. The Orange last defeated the Bearcats 19-7 in 2004. The teams have split two meeting in Cincinnati. Syracuse won the first meeting, 34-19) in 1994 and Cincinnati won, 12-10, in 2000.
Patterson Earns Conference Honors
Senior quarterback Perry Patterson was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after a career day against #6/6 Louisville last Saturday. Patterson eclipsed the 300-yard mark for the first time in his career against the Cardinals, completing 24-of-38 passes for 303 yards. His 24 completions are tied for second and the 38 attempts are tied for seventh on the single-game record list in school history.
McClain Named to Ted Hendricks Midseason Watch List
Junior defensive end Jameel McClain is a 2006 midseason Ted Hendricks Award candidate. The Hendricks Award is presented annually to the top defensive end in the country. McClain is tied for eighth in the nation in sacks per game (0.94) and tied for 44th in tackles for loss per game (1.19). He leads the BIG EAST in sacks (7.5), tied for second in tackles for loss (9.5) and tied for ninth in tackles per game (6.1). McClain has accumulated 49 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks and one forced fumble throughout the 2006 season.
