Freshmen Compete at the Head of the Fish

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The Syracuse women’s rowing freshmen team competed at the Head of the Fish. The open eight crew finished fifth of 22 boats while the novice eight crew placed third of 31 boats on Saturday.
The open eight crew finished in a time of 11:54.20. Massachusetts took home the title in a time of 11:34.79. In the open novice eight final, Syracuse finished in a time of 12:33.25, behind only Rensselaer (11:16.36) and Buffalo (12:05.42).
The varsity crews compete on Sunday at the Princeton Chase.
