The women's rowing team recently participated in its annual holiday charity event at the Carousel Center. The team wrapped presents at the mall with all proceeds earned going to the Home for the Bereaved, the National Council for Negro Women, and the Vera House.

The team spent two days participating in the Wrapsody 2006 at the Carousel Mall and covered more than 20 hours to help benefit the charities

“We have done this now for 8 - 10 years and find it a very fun, worthwhile community service project that comes at a great time of year and helps to foster a very traditional sense of holiday giving,” said head coach Kris Sanford.

The women’s rowing team concluded its fall season in early November and is preparing for its annual winter trip. This year the Orange will be traveling to Melbourne, Florida from Jan. 4-14 for its winter training session.
