Orange Gearing Up For ECAC/IC4A Championships

IC4A Schedule of Events
The Orange track and field team will compete in the ECAC/IC4A Championships this weekend, March 4-5, in Boston. The women will compete in the ECAC Championship held at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center while the men and the IC4A Championship will be at the Boston University Track and Field Pavilion.
The last time SU competed was at the 2006 BIG EAST Indoor Championship when the women placed fifth, its best finish in 13 years. Senior Johvonne Hernandez (Port Isabel, Texas) was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer after winning the shot put and the weight throw.
Other winners included junior Sheron Mark (Port of Spain, Trinidad), who set a new Athletics Field House record as she won the triple jump with a mark of 12.62m. Sophomore Jillian Drouin (Corunna, Ontario) won the high jump with a leap of 1.75m. She also placed sixth in the pentathlon with a new school record 3,627 points. She topped Mark's old record of 3,377 points that she set last year. Junior Aulton Kohn (Beaufort, S.C.) won his second-consecutive BIG EAST 60m dash title with a time of 6.76 seconds.
The men finished in 10th place overall. Following is a list of SU men that qualified for the championships this weekend.
