Women's Rowing Hosts Cornell and Yale on Onondaga Lake Saturday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse women's rowing team hosts its first event of the season on Saturday, April 1, when Cornell and Yale come to Onondaga Lake to compete against the Orange. The Bulldogs varsity eight is ranked No. 4 in the country by Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association/USRowing. Action begins on the lake at 8:00 a.m.
The race is the first of two-consecutive that SU will host on Onondaga Lake. Next weekend, the Orange welcomes Penn and Northeastern to The Hill on April 8.
The Syracuse varsity eight was ranked No. 23 in the preseason poll before competing in the Governor's Cup in Florida and the 2006 Windermere Rowing Classic at Stanford.
The day begins with the novice eight race at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, followed by the varsity eight at 8:15 a.m. The second varsity eight will follow at 8:30 with the novice four and varsity four to follow suit.
