After the Orange play at Illinois this Saturday (Sept. 16), the team has a three-game homestand in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse will host Miami (OH) on Sept. 23 (7:00 p.m., ESPNU), Wyoming on Sept. 30 and Pittsburgh on Oct. 7 (12:00 p.m., ESPN Regional). Head coach Greg Robinson is focusing on his team's performance, but he is also hopeful that the fans in the Dome will turn out like they did for SU's double-overtime game against Iowa.
“That (student section) was so impressive to me," Robinson said of the Orange-clad Syracuse students in the Carrier Dome last Saturday. "Two hours before the football game, there had to be well over 300 students, maybe 400 or 500, I don’t know how many, there to greet our football team when we came in and they were cheering. It only built during the whole pregame warm-up. It even seemed different to me than a basketball game because I guess it is just more ongoing or maybe I just noticed it more. I was really moved by it because I thought it was special the way that they worked that game. I know our football team recognized that.”
Tickets for Syracuse's home games are available online (click here) or at the Carrier Dome Box Office (1-888-DOMETIX).
