Sophomore Patrick Shadle was named the BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week after connecting on two field goals and four extra points in Syracuse’s victory against Miami (OH).
Shadle scored a career-best 10 points against the RedHawks, scoring on two field goals and four point after touchdowns. He hit field goals of 36 and 33 yards in SU’s 34-14 victory. Shadle currently leads the BIG EAST and is tied for 14th in the NCAA with 1.5 field goals per game. His 85.7 field goal percentage ranks second in the conference and is third in scoring among kickers. Shadle has connected on six-of-seven field goals during the year and has hit all 10 of his extra points.
