SYRACUSE, NY -- Syracuse will play Oklahoma State in the 2006 Jimmy V Classic on Tuesday, December 5, in New York's Madison Square Garden. The contest, which completes the non-conference portion of the SU schedule, will tip off at 7:00 p.m. and be televised live by ESPN.
Louisville and Arizona will make up the second half of the doubleheader that night.
The two squads last met in the 2005 Jimmy V Classic. Fifth-ranked Oklahoma State defeated the #4 Orange, 74-60. Syracuse and Oklahoma State have split the four previous meetings. The most recent SU triumph came in the second round of the 2003 NCAA Tournament. The Orange defeated the Cowboys, 68-56, and went on to win the NCAA Championship.
Syracuse has 14 non-conference games in all, starting with the three-game Black Coaches Association Invitational on Friday, November 10, in the Carrier Dome.
