The Orange football squad hosts Iowa in its home opener on Saturday at 3:30 in the Carrier Dome. Head coach Greg Robinson will preview his team's contest on this week's edition of "Syracuse Sidelines". The show airs live on Thursday at 7 p.m. on Time Warner Sports.
Coach Robinson and host Mark Larson will review Syracuse's season opener at Wake Forest and look ahead to Saturday's game. Fans will also get a closer look at the Orange's new strength and conditioning facility that opened last fall. The "Orange Athletics" segment will look at other Syracuse teams in action.
Fans can purchase tickets for Saturday's game by visiting suathletics.com or by calling the Carrier Dome Box Office at 1-888-366-3849 or 315-443-2121.
The game is designated "Military and Emergency Services Day". A pre-game ceremony will include members of the military holding two United States flags on the field during the National Anthem and a moment of silence for those who died on 9/11/01.
In addition, prior to the game more than 200 Syracuse University student-athletes will surround the Carrier Dome to encourage donations to the United Way of Central New York as part of the ninth annual Dollar Days at the Dome program.
