Nantulya Named Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week

Senior Gloria Nantulya, a starting forward for the Orange field hockey team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 1.
Nantulya, a Nairobi, Kenya native, has accumulated a number of academic honors while at Syracuse. She was the recipient of the 14th Annual Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award in 2006 and a member of the 2004 and 2006 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad. She has been a BIG EAST Academic All-Star selection every year and has made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester. Nantulya is majoring in public relations.
