Panarelli Inks Deal With San Jose Stealth

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Former Orange lacrosse player Steve Panarelli (Farmingdale, N.Y.) signed a one-year contract with the San Jose Stealth last week. Terms of the contract have not been disclosed. Panarelli was selected in the third round (31st overall) of the 2007 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Draft by the Stealth on Sept. 1.
Panarelli finished his senior campaign at Syracuse with 39 ground balls, playing both close defense and long-stick midfield. He also contributed a goal and an assist. Panarelli capped his 2007 season by competing in the prestigious North-South Senior Classic in Baltimore, Md. For his career, Panarelli, a three-time All-American, totaled 186 ground balls in 58 games. He also tallied eight goals and three assists for 11 career points.
Panarelli also played for the Chicago Machine of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) during the summer.
