Taormina Named Female Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

Senior Jen Taormina, a starting midfielder for the Orange women's soccer team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 22.
Taormina, a Liverpool, N.Y. native, has been a BIG EAST Academic All-Star every year. She was named to the Athletic Directors Honor Roll five out of six semesters. Taormina is majoring in bioengineering.
The Orange wraps up its regular-season schedule when it hosts Providence Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. and No. 15 Connecticut Sunday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. Taormina and the rest of the senior class will be honored at halftime of the Providence match.
