Quigley Garners BIG EAST Honor Roll Distinction

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Redshirt-junior April Quigley (Warwick Valley, N.Y.) has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll following her play against BIG EAST foe Marquette and non-conference, in-state rival Long Island, the conference announced Monday. Quigley paced the Orange offense with 99 assists and a 12.38 assists per game average.
Quigley led the Orange offense to a critical 3-1 BIG EAST win against Marquette with a club-leading 54 assists. The Warwick Valley, N.Y. native added nine digs and three kills as Syracuse evened its conference record at 4-4.
In non-conference action against the Blackbirds, Quigley tallied her seventh double-double of the season after totaling a team-high 45 assists and 12 digs. It marks the tenth time this season that Quigley has surpassed the 40-assist plateau.
Thus far in 2007, Quigley has charged the Orange offense to the tune of a club-leading 783 assists and a 10.73 assists per game average. Quigley’s 2,198 career assists and 10.56 career assists per game average rank sixth and second all-time, respectively.
